There have been a lot of new things going on in my household. First, there’s the new role of mommyhood. I never thought something so small could have such a huge impact on my life and who I am. I love my new self, this compassionate-kissy-loveydovey-I’ll-feed-you-anytime-anywhere kind of gal who falls asleep with her hand in baby’s rock n play, who knows how to hold her little one just right.
At the same time, Daddy has been showing me his new talents: changing crazy poo diapers, rocking her at three in the morning, and dressing her in crazy clashing clothing with a grin like he’s just made her look like a superstar. I love watching him love her, the way he kisses her on the head, says “ooooh!” after she does to keep the convo going, and claps when she kicks her piano toy or shakes a rattle.
But I must admit, the new life Margot is facing must be way cooler times a thousand.
Here are a few awesome examples in first person…
“I love to smile!”
“I love listening to books”
“I love hanging out with Daddy.”
“I love to sneak peeks at the TV.”
“I can sit up with support.”
“Last but not least, I love to SLEEP!”
I can’t wait to see what little M-Go is going to be doing in one, three, and five weeks from now. Just yesterday, she laughed! Pretty soon she’ll be holding her own spoon, talking about sunflowers, and dancing in the rain.
